ONE CUT SOUL is a Mexican band from Monterrey NL. formed with original members of KARMA, an active band in the first half of the 90´s. Members: Carlos Mendez (guitar) Cesar Gomez (drums and vocals) Julio Ayala (keyboards and vocals) Virgilio Lozano (guitar and vocals) Eduardo Castaño (bass) Passionate about music and friends since childhood, they formed a band called Karma in 1990. In 1992 they recorded their first album "Can´t Tell You Why" performed in English. It was the first released production in CD format by a Monterrey rock band. The album had excellent reception in the local scene and the band performed in multiple live concerts with wide broadcasting in radio, press and TV. The band broke up in 1995 but all the members remained close friends and kept writing songs individually. In 2016 the old friends reunited, changed the band name to ONE CUT SOUL and started recording new music in Psicofonia Studio with renowned audio engineer and producer Charles A. Leal. The band´s first single was Hazy Summer released in July 2017 followed by a 5 song EP. During 2018 the band started playing live in the local scene. New material and live presentations will follow in 2020.
